FAQ

  • If using improper technique shucking oysters can be dangerous. Our Shuck Masters will teach you how to safely open an oyster the right and safe way

  • You’ll get a hands-on shucking session with oysters and sea urchin, plus guided pairings with wine or sake to match each bite.


    Each guest will work with 6 distinct oysters and 1 whole sea urchin & taste 7 wines & sakes.

  • You’ll learn how to safely shuck oysters, open sea urchin. Understanding the produce and freshness, tasting notes of the oyster, and how to pair them with wine & sake.

  • This is a hands-on experience only — no regular food service will be available on the day.

  • Comfortable clothing and closed shoes are recommended. It can get a little hands-on (and a little messy).

  • Absolutely! We recommend coming in pairs or groups for the best experience.

    We can teach up to 10 guests at a time.

  • A class typically runs between 60-90 minutes

  • We recommend arriving on time as the class runs as a guided session. Late arrivals may miss key parts of the experience.
